As the gates open for the 2017 Lincoln County Fair and we celebrate “Good Old Days and Fair Fun Nights,” I want to take the time to thank all of our supporters over the years who continue to make our fair a success today. This will be our 113th fair and it continues be a huge part of our county’s agricultural heritage. The Lincoln County Fair Board is thankful for the families who know our fair is the best way to have fun together while also learning about the impact agriculture has on our daily lives. For many families, the Lincoln County Fair is a mainstay of their family heritage and they look forward to it as a way to promote their agricultural and non-agricultural businesses, renew old friendships from days gone by, and forge new relationships to open new avenues for future business and friendships. For whatever reason your family is here at our fair, we want to welcome you and hope that we can help your family make memories just as many others have done over the years.
We are celebrating the “Good Old Days” by bringing back some favorites from fairs of yesteryear. One thing most people remember about the Lincoln County Fairs of the past is the car give-away. With lots of work and great community support, we are bringing back the car give-away this year!!! Make sure to attend as many days as possible because every paid gate admission receives a ticket to be placed in a drawing for a Toyota Camry, to be given away Saturday, September 16! There will also be opportunities to win a Kubota Lawn Mower or RTV. Get more details on these exciting events in our catalog or at The Country Store, located beside the grandstands.
Our “Fun Fair Nights” includes lots of exciting things to do and see each night! We are proud to present a line-up of entertainment that will take you back to the best nights you’ve ever spent at the Lincoln County Fair. From the opening night concert featuring The Marshall Tucker Band to the expanded Demolition Derby on the last Saturday night, there is something for everyone in front of the grandstands every night! The center section of the catalog will have a quick listing of our nightly entertainment for your convenience.
What would nights at the fair be without the lights and sounds of great carnival rides? We have one of the best amusement companies in the country, Belle City Amusements, bringing in many rides that our customers will recognize but there are always new rides to keep the excitement going!
Whether you visit us during the day or at night, tour the Creative Living Building to see the handiwork of local artisans, get a caramel apple or fried Oreo® from the carnival, ride the rides, tour the ag exhibits and watch great performances from the grandstands! If you’ve never seen a harness race, this is your only chance in the great state of Tennessee. We have the only harness races in the entire state and it is a thrill to watch those beautiful horses come around the top of the home stretch, racing with all their heart towards the finish line as the drivers call on them to give just a little more for the win. It’s a great tradition at one of the best fairs in Tennessee!
We are excited about the 2017 Lincoln County Fair and all it has to offer your family. Please know that we appreciate our customers and if I can do anything to make your fair experience any better, do not hesitate to reach out. I look forward to celebrating “The Good Old Days and Fun Fair Nights” with all of you at the 113th Lincoln County Fair!
