Homegrown, Handmade & Farm Fresh!

About the Lincoln County Fair ~ Fayetteville, TN

From the President...

RandyI would like to welcome everyone to the 2019 Lincoln County Fair where we are celebrating Homegrown, Handmade and Farm Fresh in honor of our agricultural producers, past, present and future.  Lincoln County has a rich agricultural heritage and we are happy to showcase that heritage throughout our seven-day event!

The livestock barns will be stocked with cattle, hogs, goats, sheep, horses, chickens and rabbits.  This year we are proud to present our first Lincoln County Livestock Exhibit, a sampling of all of the livestock raised in Lincoln County.  Come see the competition between local producers as they compete for awards in the livestock shows going on daily.

The Darrell Hale Agriculture Building and Creative Living Building will be filled with exhibits by local 4H and FFA students, farmers and gardeners who have worked hard all year to grow, sew and create works that showcase their talent and skills.  Competitors vie for blue ribbons and other awards in a wide array of categories from creative writing, cartooning and computer technology to field crops, sewing, and canning.

The grandstand events begin on Saturday night, September 7 with a great concert by country entertainer, Riley Green, and closes on September 14 with the loud roars and bangs of the demolition derby. By popular demand, we are bringing back a favorite from the past - Rodeo on Thursday night, September 12!  And we will again be giving away great prizes to several lucky winners!

Harness Racing begins on Tuesday, September 10 when legendary announcer Mr. Charley Therrell opens the week’s slate of Standardbred horse races with his beloved and familiar call of “And heeeeeerrrreeee they come!” The half-mile track is the only place in Tennessee to see these beautiful animals race at their finest and you can see them every afternoon Tuesday, Sept 11 through Saturday, September 14.

This year marks the 115th Lincoln County Fair and we hope you and your family enjoy the event as much as our volunteers and sponsors have enjoyed working to bring it to you!  We have the best customers in Tennessee and want to make this the best fair in Tennessee for you!

If any of our board members or I can be of any assistance to you, please reach out when you see us on the grounds or come by the office and we will be glad to help in any way!

Again, WELCOME and I hope you enjoy your time at the 2019 Lincoln County Fair!

President, Lincoln County Fair Association
